SeaCology makes a small but significant difference in the selection, planning and implementation of its projects: representatives of the association work directly with islanders on the ground, overseeing ongoing projects and proposing new ones. The goal is to create sustainable and long-term "win-win" situations. Like here in Sibuyan Island in the Philippines, where an entire village was equipped with solar power and, in return, the village protects approximately 1,000 hectares of tropical rainforest in the long term.
